Gigantic box of Smart Sweets snacks

Living in a household where snacks are constantly being consumed while video games are played, movies and shows are watched, and books are being read can get a little insane as you find yourself constantly worrying about making sure your kids are eating healthy snacks, or at least not just sugar.

What if I told you that it doesn't have to be like that?

Enter SmartSweets

I've previously had the pleasure of consuming SmartSweets snacks, and they've since lived rent-free in my taste buds and in my heart. Especially the sour ones. So, imagine my happiness when we were sent some more to try while we did our gaming/watching/reading routine!

My daughters and I dove right in - purely for research, of course - and have rated them for you below.

1) Caramels: I'm not a big fan of caramels usually, but this one tastes so good. The household agrees. It's caramel, so expect a little stickiness, but it's honestly a lot easier on the chompers than other brands.

2) Lollipops: I was a horrible mother and I absolutely ate this entire bag of lollipops while the girls were at school throughout the week and I will not apologize. 10/10, no notes whatsoever.

3) Jolly Gems Hard Candy: Though I did kidnap this bag, I haven't eaten it entirely yet. What, you were expecting me to say I shared this one instead of eating it all by myself? Well, I didn't share. In my defense, my kids aren't too into hard candies. DELICIOUS. Scratched my Jolly Ranchers obsession.

4) Sweet Fish: This was a no for me. It's not too sticky, but it's sticky enough to bother me and the taste of Swedish Fish usually doesn't agree with my taste buds. The kids ate it up though, and gave me two thumbs up each.

5) Barbie Pink Lemonade Dream: This one was delicious. It literally tasted like I was drinking a glass of refreshing lemonade with each gummy. The girls also loved it, and we thought the gummy shapes representing the Barbie universe was adorable.

6) Red Twists: 0/10 because I do not like licorice. One daughter also wasn't a big fan for the same reason, but the other ate the entire bag. So, split household? But as far as the candy goes, it tastes just like licorice - trust me.

7) Gummy Worms: Delicious as always and not as sticky as regular gummy worms. The flavors are really good, too.

8) Sourmelon Bites: I've had these before and absolutely ADORE them. So perfectly sour but not painfully so, not sticky, and the taste is on point.

9) Tropical Sours: These were tried by everyone, and then I proceeded to steal the bag. The lime flavored one LITERALLY tastes like sunbathing in Cancun while sipping on a margarita. These are new and they're damn near perfection.

10) Sour Blast Buddies: I've also had these before and they're some of my favorites! Perfectly sour, the flavors kick around in your mouth, and they're only 3g of sugar per bag. These are not your regular sour candy.

So, if you're looking for a better alternative to snacking, you might want to try some of the above items. They're honestly delicious and very low on sugar, have no artificial sweeteners, and they're colored with fruit juice.

I hereby stamp the above snacks as Pixigonal Approved. Go grab some.

Pixigonal was given free products to try in exchange for an honest review.
